Since our two birthdays come days apart, I thought I might share this little story about how the 1rst ;>D is helping the 4th ;>P with true patriots of your country that will stand up for what is wrong. It is a story about those patriots of your country that are brave and courageous enough as to not follow orders when they know first-hand that crimes against humanity are being committed under their country's flag in an illegal war by a (quite possible) war criminal.
A Canadian court has ruled that...
BBC News
...being forced to participate in military misconduct, even if it stops short of a war crime, may support a claim to protection in Canada.
The judge stated,
Military action that "systematically degrades, abuses or humiliates" either combatants or non-combatants could provide such support
From The Star Report:
...the court said the board should hear evidence on whether deserters can rely on the American government to treat them fairly.
The U.S. deserter IS a deserter because...
American army human patriot Joshua Key
The Toronto Star
He said American soldiers committed savage acts against civilians and routinely killed innocent people.
They refused to partake in further criminal acts against a nation that did nothing to deserve this absolute Hell on Earth.
Initially, the Canadian Refugee Board stated that because these abuses didn't reach the level of a "war crime", they would be deported back to their country, The United States of America. The court, as referred to above, ruled otherwise.
They said, The Canadian Refugee Board.....made a mistake.
And so, 200 or so American deserters who also were being rejected now have their fortunes reversed for a life in Canada. One country's humans looking out for another country's humans.
At least that is some good news for those humans that couldn't support a war of lies by being there.
This story, to me, is a hell of a lot better than a dose of lapel-pin patriotism -- any day.
